Friends Of Dempster Country (FODC) was formed in 2007 by a group of locals to whom Dempster Country has a special meaning.

Current goals we are working towards:

• To use our IPY funding to promote, facilitate and expand the Natural History Special Event Series.
• To assist in the creation of Field Stations along the Dempster Highway.
• To monitor Species of Interest along the Dempster Highway.
• To oversee the creation of the flora pages for the Central Yukon Species Inventory Project.
• To partner with the Park Rangers and organize a rubbish pick-up along the Highway.
• To halt the advance of invasive Sweetclover north along the Dempster through the Annual Sweetclover Pull
