Pascale is studying the distribution of snow in the Blackstone Uplands, Yukon Territory, and the controls on this distribution by topography and vegetation. Her project is aimed at determining how snow cover in various terrain units of the area is related to index sites near the Dempster Highway. The application of her project is in management of snowmobile traffic and its impact on tundra soils and vegetation.
